The company was founded in 1989 and began to market an in house developed insert for thread turning, the QuadCut. The insert is on the North American market marketed under the brand name QuadThread. See our sales company in USA.
QuadCut was followed by several other products, QuadCutOff for parting off, ThreadMill for thread milling and TwinCut.
Our products are marketed through a network of distributors. Scandinavian Tool Systems are represented in more than 40 countries worldwide.
The organization is the Swedish member of the European Committee for Co-operation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO) and the European Cutting Tools Association (ECTA).
You will find our company in the village of Insjön located in the county of Dalecarlia, 3 hours car drive north west of Stockholm.
